owen is a big fisherman, so i decided to go with a fish cake for his birthday this year. i was half way into the design when kai reminded me that his last cake was a fish. but really last year was more of a fish/graffiti cake. and besides, i had already done all of my koi researching and preliminary sketching::
guess what? he didn't mind at all. he is such an avid angler, i think he would be happy with a fish cake every year. we got him a very nice snorkeling set so he can search for fish and treasure in the lake and ocean. something he previously did with a leaky mask and a snorkel that was much too big for him. happy 8th owen::
