last year our amaryllis had two healthy, large buds just about to burst when it received a fatal blow from a flying stuffed animal. this year it almost had the same fate. i've been watching it and watching out for it all along and the other day i noticed that one of the flowers had been broken off and the rest of them looked as if they had sustained some kind of mild trauma. whoever is responsible cleaned up any evidence and isn't talking.
but i can't complain as we did get to see a few flowers and i don't really have it in the best spot to begin with. still waiting on big b to make some kind of plant shelf by the window. (hint, hint).
in other news: i finished my little face cloth. it came out rather nice and lathers up well. it would be nice to make a set of them. this yarn comes in such a cool variety of colors. i've been wanting to make a blanket with it for a while but wasn't sure how it would react to the constant washing and drying it will experience around these parts, so i have to admit that this little cloth was also a way to test the waters so to speak. (and no pun intended).
how cool is that soap? it smells even better than it looks.
