here is a fun and easy craft that is only slightly toxic. you can find all of the supplies at your local craft store. you'll need to grab some of those glass bead things they use in flower arranging (usually over by the wreath stuff and the green foamy stuff, also for flower arranging), a package or two of 3/4 inch magnets, some pretty craft paper if you don't have anything craft worthy at home and, (here comes the toxic), some E-6000 glue::
now trace the magnet shape onto your image of choice and cut cut. i also cut an identical circle out of plain white paper (printing paper is fine). i glue this on first beneath the image. it assures that the black of the magnet won't come through when the image is moistened by the glue::
let the image dry. now ventilate, ventilate, ventilate. better yet, work outside with your back to the wind. when you glue the paper pieces on, just use a tiny smearing of the glue. please, don't use your fingers. for the glass, use a larger bead of glue. you want it to push out just to the edge of the magnet when you apply pressure. a dab will do you::
the glass magnifies the image::
and now you have some pretty magnets!! what more could you ask for?
