this year big b's mom was with us for her birthday! i made her a tea party cake to celebrate::
i love making these cakes. pretty and yummy, heavy on the frosting! the way every cake should be. happy birthday grandma, we love you!
oh, and incidentally, you can thank grandma for the double. last time she came up to visit, she brought an old scarf that great grandma had mass produced back in the day. after staring at it for a while and referring to a couple of crochet stitch books, we figured it out and the double was born. or i guess, reborn and revamped. something old is new again, and we're loving it!
