when following an amigurumi pattern, i usually turn to felt when it comes to facial features. i'm not especially comfortable with embroidery and i can never get yarn to sit right over crocheted or knit fabric. after putting in loads of time on a piece, the last thing you want to end up with is a face that looks like it was drawn on with a sharpie by your three-year-old::
see that? much more control over the little details. you'll notice that i also finish the face before i finish the pattern. i do this whenever humanly possible, even though most amigurumi patterns tell you to finish things afterwards. to get things perfect, its much nicer to be able to sew back to front. in my opinion anyway.
this is a pattern that bella and little lu picked out for their room. its hangable! and that's all i'm giving you.
happy weekend!
