i've been busy doing unblogworthy things as of late. for example, cleaning out the fridge. long, long overdue. and nothing you need to see photo's of. trust me. i did, however, find a bunch of lemons that were looking desperate. so i made a nice big batch of lemon curd. then i thought i should try some popovers to see if they compliment::
have you ever made popovers? this was my first try. not surprisingly, they did pair nicely with the lemon curd. i think you would be hard pressed to find anything that doesn't though. this recipe is similar to what i used. mine were from martha's baking book and were heavy on the eggs. oddly enough, her online recipe calls for half the amount of eggs. all other ingredients are the same. interesting right? think she's slipping?
day two is what i'm really excited about. i have to wait a bit longer for the marinating and then it's on!
