i bet you haven't in a while. when i was little, i bought one in florida. it didn't last very long at home on my dresser. i'm sure i didn't water it. ever. i took the term air plant much too literally. this one hangs over our sink in the kitchen window and the kids each have a little one in their rooms. we found them at country garden. i'm in love with them::
this one is thriving. and very low maintenance. just run it under the water once a week until its nice and soaked through. let it drip dry and hang it back up. kai took the sheet from the store and told me they would flower but i didn't believe it. i was wrong. this is one happy tillandsia. eventually i will be able to break it up a bit and start some new plants from the mother plant. there is a wider leafed specimen that i may have to go back for, given our success with this first group. you should have a tillandsia hanging in your window! it's good energy!!
