this stuff is so much fun::

the girls will have a plentiful stock of memory wire jewelry after christmas. that last one is for indy; favorite color, favorite animal! i love you bead emporium!

BELATED GIFTING

i was so happy to be tying in the ends on this special baby blanket. it's been a long time coming. the pillows had been finished and living in my crafting cabinet for longer than i'd like to admit::

didn't forget big brother! i hope garrett liked his robot/mad scientist themed pillow. i went solo to choose the fabric and was second guessing the choice while stitching it up. owen assured me it was all good though, so that made me feel better (they are the same age and bff's, so his approval was most important)::

CRAFTING OVERLOAD

i am still here. just feeling the crunch of the approaching holidays. the good news? i've finally stopped procrastinating::

the bad news? not in time to get all of my projects accomplished (nothing new here). but that's okay, i'm just going to prioritize. i will prioritize. i typed it, now maybe it will come true! 

 

STUFFED THINGS

i put together these two little sewing kits the other night. they're by sarah young, find them in her etsy shop right here. so simple, the perfect gift for someone who is just starting to sew. i got them at purl. the cat (marmaduke) for ellie, the owl (oswald) for indy. they were sold out of felix the fox, sadly. that one would have been for me::

these would probably be better as decorations. the fabric splits easily and the seems were bursting a bit when i was stuffing them. we'll see how they hold up after some loving from the girls. off to be wrapped for christmas!

ps - did you notice the little red riding hood kit? i wish that one had been at the store!

 

 

FINAL PICKINGS

we harvested half of the carrots over the weekend. and the last of the butternut squash. it's almost time to turn things over for the winter::

tendersweets and scarlet nantes. some of these are headed for chicken soup. i think it's cold enough now. and even though it's a little sad to be leaving the garden until spring, we are more than happy to greet the new picking season::

oysters on the half shell! lemon, cocktail sauce, horseradish, go!
